Belfry Elementary teaches students how to be “KIND”

Today, Belfry Elementary kicked off their kindness challenge. Each grade level wore a different color to represent specific traits. Pre/K, HS, and kindergarten wore red for caring, 1st grade – green for fairness, 2nd grade – blue for trustworthiness, 3rd grade – yellow for understanding, 4th grade – purple for loyalty, 5th grade – orange for unity. Belfry Elementary Principal, Jill Maynard said each student was given a calendar of 30 kindness activities that they could choose from each day. They will receive points for each random act of kindness they do. The class whose “Kind-O-Meter” achieves the most points will choose the reward of their choice.
