Belfry teachers provide meals

BELFRY, Ky. — While mass call-ins forced Pike County Schools to close, Tuesday, faculty and staff at Belfry High School want to make sure students in the area are fed and well taken care of.

Family Resource Center Coordinator, Pat May, says the high school will be open every day school is canceled.

Faculty and staff will be in the building from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. in order for students to pick up food or snacks. If a student cannot make it to the school, organizers will deliver it to their home. While students are collecting food, faculty and staff are asking the public for donations.

Donations should include, non-perishable food items or food that can be easily made.
