
The Paintsville Tigers battled to their first tie of the season Wednesday night, finishing even with Morgan County in a 5-5 contest.
Tucker Hale was the story of the night for the Tigers, accounting for all five of Paintsville’s goals. The standout now has 22 scores on the season. Logan Bennett, Carson Montgomery, and Ian Hensley each chipped in with assists to fuel the offensive push.
Defensively, junior goalkeeper Logan Bennett stayed active between the posts, finishing with 10 saves while allowing five.
The draw moves Paintsville to 4-12-1 on the year, while Morgan County sits at 3-7-1.
The Tigers will stay busy down the stretch with four regular season matchups left on the schedule. They travel to Pike Central tonight for a 6:30 p.m. start, then face Knott Central on Sept. 27 and Hazard on Sept. 30, both on the road. Paintsville will close the season at home against Johnson Central.
