Coleman’s Perfect Night Lifts Pike Central To Win Over Cordia

The Pike Central Hawks took care of business at home Wednesday night, rolling past Cordia 79-32 at the Hawks Nest.

Pike Central had one player reach double figures, and he made it count. Zaiden Coleman put together a big night, finishing with 18 points and 11 rebounds to record a double double. Coleman was flawless offensively, shooting 100 percent from the field, from beyond the arc, and at the free throw line. It was about as complete of a performance as you will see.

Coleman now sits at 33 points and 27 rebounds on the season.

As a team, the Hawks shot 55.9 percent from the field, 45 percent from three-point range, and 80 percent at the free throw line. Pike Central also controlled the glass, pulling down 29 rebounds on the night.

The win improves Pike Central to 10-5 on the season, while Cordia drops to 0-15.

Pike Central will be back in action Friday, Jan. 16, when the Hawks host Magoffin County at the Hawks Nest with a 7:30 p.m. tip.
