COLLEGE FOOTBALL: Blue Raiders rough up Bears in season opener

Lindsey Wilson College continued its dominance against the University of Pikeville as the Blue Raiders cruised to a 49-0 season opening win in a game played at Blue Raider Stadium on Friday afternoon.

The Bears (0-1) struggled trying to move the football against LWC, rushing for only 33 yards on 42 carries and completing 5-of-14 passes for 47 yards.

Running back Jamarion Sanders rushed for 37 yards and quarterback Trevon Wofford had a long of 31 yards to Arties Clark, who had two catches for 36 yards.

UPIKE will play at Bethel University on Feb. 19. Kickoff is 8 pm. Bethel’s season opener against Campbellsville was postponed.
