PRESTONSBURG, Ky. — Mountain Top News has learned that police are investigating the death of a Prestonsburg woman over the weekend.

Floyd County Coroner Greg Nelson confirmed that the victim was Amber Spradlin, 38, who listed herself on social media as a hostess at the Brickhouse restaurant.

The only other detail Nelson could provide about the incident was that her body has been sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for autopsy.

Kentucky State Police Post 9 is investigating the death.

In a statement, police say Spradlin’s body was found at a home on Arkansas Creek. They add that Spradlin suffered injuries that are believed to be the result of foul play, but provided no additional details.

Det. Justin Wireman is leading the investigation into the incident.
