PAINTSVILLE, Ky. — An Alabama man arrested in Johnson County earlier this month after police found meth and fentanyl in his car is now facing another charge, after police returned to his car for a more extensive search.
Floyd Jenkins, 45, of Munford, Ala., was arrested Dec. 4, after police found a quarter-pound of meth and an ounce-and-a-half of fentanyl in his car. He was charged with meth trafficking and importing fentanyl.
But eight days later, police obtained a search warrant for his car, which remained impounded. During their search, they found a magnetic box underneath the car’s rear bumper containing 205 grams of meth.
Jenkins has now been charged with an additional count of meth trafficking. He remains in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center, in Paintsville.
