Twenty-two school buses loaded with water, clothes, cleaning supplies, blankets and toys left Eastern Kentucky early Monday morning, to make a trip across the state to deliver the items to western Kentucky tornado victims.
The effort was undertaken by 16 school districts across Eastern Kentucky, including Pike County, Pikeville, Floyd County, Johnson County, Paintsville, Letcher County, Jenkins, Knott County, Martin County and others. Supplies were collected throughout last week.
The effort to help the tornado victims continues at the Team West Kentucky Relief Fund. You can find more information about it at teamwkyrelieffund.ky.gov.
