Ex-con arrested after deputies find meth, gun

CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Logan County sheriff’s deputies following up on an anonymous tip arrested a convicted felon on drug and gun charges.

The deputies conducted a search at the home of Dallas Bryant, 59, of Chapmanville.

Inside a safe in his bedroom, they found bag containing 1.3 grams of meth. They also found a Winchester rifle and more than $3,200 in cash in the home.

Bryant was convicted in 2015 of delivery of a controlled substance.

He was arrested and charged with possession of meth and prohibited person in possession of a firearm.
