Pike County, KY — A 2-vehicle crash in Pike County has claimed the life of a Virginia man. According to Kentucky State Police at the Pikeville Post, the crash occurred just before 7 AM Saturday morning at the mouth of Pond Creek at Stone. Troopers determined that 29-year-old Jeremy Gibson of Haysi, VA was traveling north on U.S. 119 when he apparently lost control of his vehicle and collided with another vehicle that was waiting to make a turn. Gibson was pronounced deceased at the scene by Deputy Pike County Coroner Mike Hall. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to South Williamson ARH for treatment and released. The investigation is continuing.
