FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (MTN) — The Floyd County Health Department announced a new positive COVID-19 case in the county.

According to a Facebook post, health officials are stating that this new case brings the total case count to 40.

“Currently there are 8 that remain in isolation. We have provided contact tracing for more than 200 persons to those 40 cases. Total tests done and reported to us are 2314 with 2274 negative tests,” states Floyd County Health Department officials.

No other information regarding the patient has been released.
