PRESTONSBURG, Ky. — Funeral services for the final officer killed by a gunman during a standoff in Allen last week have been announced.

The funeral for Prestonsburg Police Officer and K9 Handler Jacob Chaffins will take place at 1 p.m., Thursday, July 7, at the Mountain Arts Center, in Prestonsburg. Visitation will be held beginning at 6 p.m., Tuesday, and at 10 a.m., Wednesday, at Tom’s Creek Freewill Baptist Church, at Ivel.

Funeral arrangements for two other officers killed in the incident were previously announced. Services for Floyd County Sheriff’s Deputy and Martin Fire Chief William Petry will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 5, at the Mountain Arts Center. Services for Prsetonsburg Police Capt. Ralph Frasure will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 6, at the Mountain Arts Center.

All three officers will be buried in Gethsemane Gardens, in Prestonsburg.
