Foundation accepting donations for Allen standoff victims, families, departments

PRESTONSBURG, Ky. — The killing of three police officers last week in Floyd County has left many people in the region shocked and looking for some way to help.

Now, the Floyd County Community Foundation has established a fund to assist those affected.

The Floyd County Crisis Fund is accepting donations which will be used to help the families of the slain officers, the officers who were wounded in the incident, and the departments involved. Donations can be made in honor or memory of someone, and they can be designated for a specific purpose.



To make a donation, you can mail a check with “Floyd County Crisis Fund” in the memo line to the Floyd County Community Foundation at P.O. Box 1734, Prestonsburg, KY 41653.
