INEZ, Ky. — The Martin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the killing of a horse at a strip mine.

The horse was found shot to death Thursday at the Mayo 5 strip job.

Sheriff John Kirk is offering a $2,000 reward for information that results in the arrest and conviction of whoever is responsible for killing the horse.

He asks that information be reported to his office, at 606-298-2828, or by calling Kentucky State Police.
