SALYERSVILLE, Ky. — An Indiana woman who was charged with drug trafficking and wanton endangerment following a brief chase in Magoffin County last year has been re-arrested more than a year after being indicted.

Amanda Artyamsoal, 27, of Sellersburg, Ind., was arrested after police say the car she was in tried to avoid a police roadblock, nearly running over a state trooper in the process. After stopping the car, police found marijuana inside and bags of heroin and pills that had been tossed into the road.

Police say Artyamsoal, who was a passenger in the car, admitted that all of the drugs were hers and that she had grabbed the steering wheel, causing the car to nearly hit the officer.

She was indicted for drug trafficking and possession, fleeing police, wanton endangerment of an officer and other charges last August, but was not arrested until being picked up by Louisville Police over the weekend.

The driver of the car, Gardner Webb, 32, of Clarksville, Ind., was also indicted on charges of fleeing police and endangering an officer. He has still not been arrested.
