PIKEVILLE, Ky. — The American Red Cross Kentucky Region has appointed Jamie Slone as the new executive director of the Eastern Kentucky Chapter, one of five chapters in the region.

Slone will be responsible for Red Cross relationships and community outreach in the 24-county chapter area. Included in these responsibilities are American Red Cross program management, representing the Red Cross across the chapter geography and managing daily activities. He will work with the chapter board to effectively mobilize support and resources for the Red Cross mission and utilize community volunteer leaders to enhance service delivery. He will divide his time between the Hazard and Pikeville offices.
Slone brings a strong background in health care leadership and organizational management, with extensive experience guiding teams, overseeing complex operations and building meaningful community partnerships. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a steady commitment to service, collaboration and strategic growth, qualities that align closely with the Red Cross mission. His leadership experience and community-focused approach position him well to support and strengthen the work of the Red Cross across the Eastern Kentucky Chapter.
