Police search for motorcycle thieves

JACKSON, Ky. — Police in Breathitt County are on the hunt for a group of people who stole motorcycles from a dealership over the weekend.

It happened around 4 o’clock Sunday morning. Police say five people in a U-Haul truck and a sixth person in a black compact car broke into the front door of YPK Motorsports in Jackson and made off with four Kawasaki racing bikes.

The motorcycles have a combined value of more than $30,000.

The dealership is offering a cash reward for the arrest of those responsible, and has released the VIN numbers on the bikes.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Jackson Police, the Breathitt County Sheriff’s Office or Kentucky State Police.
