MUD CREEK, Ky. — Floyd County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Bear helped lead officers to a drug trafficking arrest on the Fourth of July.
Just before midnight on Tuesday, Bear’s handler pulled over a vehicle on Mud Creek for having no license plate. The driver, identified as Logan Tyler Kennedy, of Goble Roberts, told police that he had just bought the truck and hadn’t received the plate yet.
But K-9 Bear alerted on the truck, leading deputies to find more than 4 grams of meth, along with several types of paraphernalia.
Kennedy was arrested and charged with meth trafficking, possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, and a host of traffic violations.
