Kentucky COVID cases continue to fall

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Looking at the latest coronavirus numbers in Kentucky, there are continuing signs that cases are continuing to fall.

The state reported more than 8,500 cases over the weekend, which is a drop of about 900 cases from the previous weekend.

As of Sunday, 122 more Kentuckians have died, raising the death toll to 3,421.

More than 1,500 people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, including 371 in intensive care and 218 on ventilators.

The state’s positivity rate is now 10.24 percent — more than a point lower than last week.
