ASHCAMP, Ky. — Kentucky State Police is investigating after a passenger died of injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash on Wednesday.

Police say Matthew Corbett was operating a 2020 Ford Transit ambulance owned by Lifeguard EMS along Route 197 at Ashcamp just before 4 p.m., when the vehicle left the road and overturned.

Douglas Jones, a passenger in the vehicle, was taken to a local hospital. He later died.

Trooper Terry Mounts is in charge of the investigation. He was assisted at the scene by Post 9 personnel, the Sycamore Volunteer Fire Department, and Lifeguard Ambulance Service.
