A local police officer made a young boy’s day after he allowed him to sit in his vehicle while switching on the lights and siren, pretending to be a police officer.
According to a Facebook post made by Josiah Davis’ father, Joshua Kaleb Davis along with his wife Amanda were trekking back to North Carolina from Kentucky as young Josiah spotted Pikeville Police Officer C. Hobson and just wanted to say hello.
After introducing themselves, they were headed back to their vehicle when Officer Hobson asked Joshua if Josiah could come see his cruiser, the post says.
“He got to turn on the lights and siren and could not have been happier,” states Joshua Kaleb Davis.
“Thank you for being a servant of the community, Officer Hobson. God bless you and your department. If anyone knows Officer Hobson personally, please give him our thanks.”
Joshua Kaleb Davis says that young Josiah wants to “drive like the police officer.”
