

GARRETT, Ky. — A man pulled over for a loud muffler and failing to use his turn signal ended up going to jail for meth trafficking.
A Floyd County deputy pulled over the a truck driven by Randol Shepherd, 47, of Garrett, just before 10 p.m. Sunday.
During the stop, police dog Bear alerted on the truck, and the deputy found a book bag with meth and a small amount of heroin inside, along with scales and bags. Shepherd was also found with more than $1,000 in cash.
He is now charged with trafficking in meth, possession of heroin, and multiple traffic violations.
