PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Madison County man who was arrested for drug trafficking after being pulled over for speeding in Pike County has pleaded guilty to federal drug charge.

George Anthony Walker, 55, of Richmond, was arrested back in March, after he was pulled over for driving 51 miles an hour on Hambley Boulevard, which has a speed limit of 35. During that stop, police found nearly 112 grams of meth in his car.

On Friday, Walker pleaded guilty to possession of more than 50 grams of meth with the intent to distribute. Because Walker has a previous drug trafficking conviction in Madison County, he faces an enhanced sentence ranging anywhere from 10 years to life in prison when he returns to court for sentencing Sept. 8.

Walker is currently being held in the Pike County Detention Center.
