SALYERSVILLE, Ky. — A Magoffin County man is facing up to 15 years in prison, after being indicted on federal gun charges.

Bobby Wireman, 42, of Salyersville, is charged with possession of stolen firearms and possession of firearms by a person previously committed to a mental institution. The indictment alleges he was found with two rifles and a shotgun back in February, all of which had been reported as stolen.

Authorities are not only seeking to convict him of the charges, but also forfeiture of the weapons, along with any ammunition or accessories.

Wireman is being held in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center, in Paintsville.
