PIKEVILLE, Ky. — Two Magoffin County men are expected to enter guilty pleas to federal charges related to a conspiracy to distribute oxycodone.

Gregory Howard, 51, and Jesse Murrell Jr., 53, both of Salyersville, are charged with conspiracy to distribute oxycodone and multiple counts of distributing it.

They were scheduled to go on trial later this month, but both men asked to change their pleas last week, signaling that they had reached plea deals with prosecutors.

Howard is expected to enter his plea on Tuesday, while Murrell will enter his Feb. 29.
