SOUTH WILLIAMSON, Ky. — Police responding to a report of two men passed out in a car at a South Williamson tobacco shop eventually took one of the men to jail for drug trafficking.
By the time they responded to the tobacco shop, the car was already on the move and was pulled over for a number of traffic violations.
James Blackburn, 43, was a passenger in the car. When he was searched, police allegedly found 13 individually wrapped packages in his pocket, each containing about a gram of what he reportedly told police was heroin.
Blackburn told police the driver was only giving him a ride and knew nothing about the drugs. The driver was let go with a ticket.
Blackburn was arrested on a charge of trafficking heroin.
