SALYERSVILLE, Ky. — A Salyersville man faces felony charges, after allegedly threatening a woman with a machete and hitting his father with a stick.

The woman reported that Trenton Minix, 30, came to her home, despite having an active domestic violence order against him. She accused him of swinging a machete at her and stabbing the walls. She also told police he then went outside and began fighting with his dad, hitting him twice with a stick.

Magoffin County sheriff’s deputies arrested Minix and charged him with first-degree assault, wanton endangerment, violation of a domestic violence order and criminal mischief.
