SALYERSVILLE, Ky. — A Magoffin County man faces criminal charges following an overdose death.
James Allen, 37, of Salyersville, was arrested just after 1 Thursday morning, after a person with him overdosed and died.
Allen reportedly told police that he and two others were using heroin that was possibly mixed with fentanyl when the incident occurred. He allegedly admitted that he did not seek emergency assistance or provide medical aid to the victim, but rather just moved the body.
Allen has now been charged with felony heroin trafficking, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and a violation charge of failure to render aid.
