LOGAN COUNTY, WV.– A Logan County man has pleaded guilty in a kidnapping on U.S. Route 119 in Charleston.
31- year-old Justin Green of Chapmanville — who apparently recorded the incident on Facebook Live — entered a plea deal Wednesday in Kanawha County Circuit Court. He admitted to felony fleeing and unlawful wounding charges in exchange for dropping a kidnapping charge. Green’s trial was supposed to start in January. Authorities say Green allegedly held a man at knife point and forced him to drive while being chased by police through southern West Virginia in May. Police caught up with the vehicle on U.S. 119 near Southridge. The pursuit ended in Mingo County where Green was arrested. The victim suffered a stab wound in his leg and multiple cuts elsewhere on his body, according to police.
