PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Mingo County man who was pulled over in Pike County Thursday afternoon found himself getting into more and more trouble as the evening wore on.

Deputies pulled over Trellis Ray Cisco, 46, of Matewan, for operating an ATV on U.S. 119. When asked for his license, he told officers he had lost his wallet, but gave them a fake name and said he was from Cleveland.
He was placed under arrest for not having a license, insurance or registration, but as officers tried to take him into custody, he fell to his knees, rolled onto his side and complained of back pain. He was taken to the hospital to be checked out.
At the hospital, once it became clear he would be going to jail, deputies say he began punching them and reaching for one officer’s gun. He reportedly threatened to killed the deputies and said they would have to kill him before he went to jail. The officers began fighting back, and he was eventually brought under control after several blasts from a taser.
Cisco now faces a long list of charges, including attempted escape, attempt to disarm an officer, assaulting an officer and resisting arrest.
