FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — Virtual community forums to discuss ways to improve Kentucky’s foster care system are being held through the end of July, officials said.
Citizen Foster Care Review Boards are hosting the regional meetings, which are open to the public but require registration, a statement from the Administrative Office of the Court said.
Forums are scheduled on July 23, July 24, July 28, July 30 and July 31.
Feedback from the meetings will be reported to the Kentucky Citizen Foster Care Review Board and included in its annual recommendations to state officials.
The forums are among the reforms passed in 2018 by state lawmakers to address issues with foster care and adoption. The legislation requires the forums at least twice a year.
