STAFFORDSVILLE, Ky. — An Ohio man is spending time behind bars in Johnson County, following an armed confrontation with police early this morning.
Paintsville Police Department received a report of a man covered in blood walking along the road near Paintsville Lake.
When officers attempted to question him, he allegedly became combative and lunged at them with an open pocket knife in his hand. Officers used a taser on him twice to bring him into compliance.
Tyler K. Sproose, 21, of Jackson, Ohio, was arrested and charged with alcohol intoxication, wanton endangerment and resisting arrest. He remains lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
