Pierre Lidge, 25. of Akron, Ohio, was arrested June 5, after Kentucky State Police got a tip from Virginia State Police to be on the lookout for him.

Virginia had been investigating Lidge for drug trafficking and recorded him earlier that day selling meth to an informant. Police caught up with him near Stopover and pulled him over, finding him with 83 grams of meth and more than $1,100 in cash.

On Wednesday, Lidge pleaded guilty to possession with the intent to distribute and possession of a firearm in connection with drug trafficking. Those charges potentially carry a maximum sentence of life in prison, but as part of the plea agreement, prosecutors will recommend that he serve no more than 10 years, which is the minimum sentence.

He will be back in court for sentencing Aug. 29.
