The Paintsville Lady Tigers picked up a convincing 58-35 win over Russell at home Tuesday night.
Paintsville had two players finish in double figures, led by dual-sport standout Kylie Kinner. Kinner put together a big night, scoring 30 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. She was efficient from the floor, shooting 71.4 percent, knocked down 50 percent of her shots from beyond the arc, and went 9-for-13 at the free-throw line.
On the season, Kinner continues to lead the Lady Tigers in both scoring and rebounding with 157 points and 43 rebounds. She is averaging 26.2 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.
Brooklyn Skaggs also reached double figures for Paintsville, finishing with 14 points. Skaggs shot 35.7 percent from the field, hit 50 percent of her three-point attempts, and added three rebounds. She now has 51 points on the season, averaging 8.5 points per game, along with 17 rebounds.
Paintsville improves to 3-3 with the win.
Paintsville will be back in action Saturday, Dec. 20, when the Lady Tigers travel to Bath County to take part in the Mike Bromagen Lady Cat Legend Classic. Paintsville will play Harrison County and Bath County in the event.
