HAZARD, Ky. — The Perry County Sheriff’s Office received a tip, Monday, reporting animal neglect in Hazard. Deputies went to the Messer Branch Road home to investigate. There, they found five dogs without any food or water. The animals were all covered with mange. The owner of the animals — Jamie Sizemore — was arrested and charged with second-degree cruelty to animals. The dogs were all placed in the possession of the Kentucky River Regional Animal Shelter.
