Whitesburg, KY — The Letcher County Sheriff’s Department is urging people to pay close attention to their money. According to Letcher County Sheriff Mickey Stines, counterfeit bills are circulating in the county. The phony bills, that is clearly marked ‘For Motion Picture Purposes’, have been used at businesses. Sheriff Stines reminds residents and businesses alike to be observant to their cash transactions. If you receive any of these bills you are asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office or Kentucky State Police.
