by JAMIE LITTLE

My name is Jamie Little, and I am proud to announce my candidacy for Magistrate of District 3 in Pike County. I was born and raised on Long Fork in Virgie, where my parents, Gary Alan and Glenda Little, taught me the values of hard work, community service, and integrity. Those values have guided my life, my career, and my commitment to our community.
After graduating from Shelby Valley High School, I earned a Business Administration degree from Morehead State University. I went on to build a 17 year management career, including significant budgetary responsibilities at times exceeding $20 million annually and managing a workforce of up to 875 employees. I have also been a small business owner, giving me firsthand understanding of the challenges and opportunities local entrepreneurs face. These experiences have prepared me to make responsible decisions, manage resources effectively, and deliver results for the people of Pike County.
I am running for Magistrate because I believe our county is at a critical moment. We continue to face population decline, limited job opportunities, and aging infrastructure. We can’t afford to stay on the same path. We need forward-thinking leadership that embraces new ideas and works every day to move Pike County toward growth and stability with a focus on the vision of the future for Pike County.
My goals as Magistrate are focused on strengthening District 3 and improving quality of life for our families. I will work to attract new employers so residents have access to quality jobs right here at home. I will also push to expand tourism opportunities, building on the Hillbilly Trail System and pursuing new attractions such as scenic rail experiences, outdoor recreation, and special events that bring visitors and revenue into our county, providing a needed new customer base for our small businesses.
Improving infrastructure is essential to our long-term success. In addition to better roads and utilities, we must modernize and expand our fiber network. High-speed internet with reliable redundancy is critical for attracting business investment, supporting remote work, and ensuring our students and first responders have the tools they need. This is critical for attracting new families to relocate to Pike County while retaining their existing remote work positions.
I am also committed to strengthening youth sports and creating more activities and safe spaces for our kids. Investing in our youth is investing in Pike County’s future.
I am running to bring professionalism, transparency, and action-oriented leadership to District 3. I look forward to listening to the people of our community and working together to build a Pike County where our children and grandchildren can thrive.
I respectfully ask for your support.
