Pike man arrested after search uncovers large amount of drugs

HARDY, Ky. — State troopers executing a search warrant at a Pike County man’s home came away with a large amount of drugs and an arrest for trafficking.

Police raided the home of James Hardesty, 35, of Hardy, just before noon on Thursday. Over the next 12 hours, they located 192 grams of fentanyl, 6 oz. of psychedelic mushrooms, 2,192 THC edibles, 35 bottles of liquid THC, and more than 23.5 lbs. of marijuana. They also took possession of 22 guns and $1,500 in cash.

Hardesty was arrested just before midnight and charged with four counts of drug trafficking. He is being held without bond in the Pike County Detention Center.
