HAROLD, Ky. — A Pike County man was arrested following a traffic stop in Floyd County, after a K-9 alerted officers to a large amount of drugs in his truck.
A sheriff’s deputy spotted Long, 30, of Wolfpit Branch, driving Monday along U.S. 23 at Harold, towing a pressure washer. The deputy noted Long’s vehicle was half-off the road, so he pulled him over.
Noting that Long seemed nervous, the deputy brought in a K-9 unit to sniff around the car, and the dog immediately alerted on the driver’s side of the truck. The deputy then found a lemonade container with a false bottom, containing 180 grams of meth, 12 grams of heroin and 2 grams of fentanyl.
Long was arrested for trafficking in meth, heroin and fentanyl and other charges.
