
PHELPS, Ky. — A Pike County man is in jail, after police say he fired a gun at someone from his car last week.
Ralph Thomas, 32, of Phelps, was arrested early Sunday morning. He is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment and discharging a firearm across a public road.
According to the arrest warrant, police were notified that Thomas fired his gun at someone while driving in the Phelps area on Friday. The bullet landed about 25 feet away from its target.
The wanton endangerment charge is a felony, punishable by 1-to-5 years in prison.
Thomas is currently being held in the Pike County jail on a $2,000 cash bond.
