PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Pike County man has been arrested on federal child pornography charges.

Robert Preston, 37, of Shelbiana, is charged with producing, receiving and possessing child pornography. He is accused of contacting a 13-year-old girl and threatening her in order to force her to send sexually explicit images of herself to him over a period of three years.

Preston was arrested on Friday and remains in jail, awaiting a detention hearing later this week.
