PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Pike County man already facing child porn charges in circuit court has now been indicted in federal court.
Bill Daniel Combs, 38, of Pikeville, was originally charged in 2021 with possession of child porn, promoting a sexual performance by a minor, prohibited use of an electronic communications system, and persistent felony offender in Pike Circuit Court. That case is set for trial in April, but it is unclear if it will proceed following his federal indictment.
Combs is now charged with producing and possessing child pornography. He is accused of coercing a 13-year-old girl to send him nude photographs of herself.
Of the charges, producing child porn is the most significant, carrying a minimum sentence of 15 years in prison and a maximum of 30 years if he is convicted.
