DORTON, KY.-A Pike County student is facing a terroristic threatening charge following an incident at a local school. According to a statement from Kentucky State Police, a student at Dorton Elementary School was charged with misdemeanor terroristic threatening in the second degree after the student allegedly threatened to harm a group of fellow students with a knife. The KSP statement said an investigation found the student did not have a knife in his possession at school, and that the incident involved a threat only. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and is being conducted by Trooper Jamie Rose. School officials said the incident was isolated and no threat was ever made against the school at-large.
