LONDON, Ky. — Nearly two-and-a-half years after he was first charged, a Pike County man has been found guilty on federal child porn charges.

Robert Preston, 40, of Shelbiana, was charged with producing and possessing child pornography, as well as cyberstalking.

The trial began on Monday and on Tuesday, the jury found him guilty of all charges.

Preston has now been convicted of coercing a minor to engage in and record sexually explicit conduct over a period of 11 months in 2016 and 2017. Later, he was accused of using Snapchat to intimidate and harass an unidentified person in 2019.

Preston now faces up to 30 years in prison for producing child porn, up to 20 years for possessing it, and up to five years for the cyberstalking charge. He could also be ordered to pay the victim up to $50,000.
