PIKEVILLE, Ky. – Last week, a Pike County jury found 48 year old Jody Scott of Little Hackney’s Creek guilty on 9 counts of trafficking in cocaine. Prosecutors with the Pike Commonwealth’s Attorney’s office say it was a huge win for their office. And, they say the fact that the Jury found him guilty on all 9 counts made a huge statement to those dealing drugs in Pike County. Assistant Pike Commonwealth’s Attorney Melissa Goodman prosecuted the case, and says Scott was running a very sophisticated “business” out of his home on Little Hackney’s Creek. The Jury recommended a 20 year sentence for Scott. He will be formally sentenced on May 22nd.
