PIKEVILLE, Ky. — The Kentucky Public Service Commission will be in Pikeville this week to get local residents’ thoughts on Kentucky Power’s latest request for a rate increase.
The utility is asking for a 15 percent rate hike, which would raise the average residential bill 28-dollars.
This week’s hearing will take place Thursday at the Pike County Library on Lee Avenue in Pikeville, beginning at 5 p.m.
The PSC will conduct additional hearings at the Perry County Courthouse in Hazard on Dec. 18 and the Ashland Transportation Center on Jan. 8.
