PIKEVILLE, Ky. A Magoffin County man is heading to prison, after being sentenced after being convicted a second time on federal drug charges.
Gregory Howard, 45, of Salyersville, pleaded guilty in to possessing hydrocodone with the intent to distribute. U.S. District Judge Karen Caldwell this week ordered him to serve three years in prison.
Three years ago, Howard was sentenced to time served, after pleading guilty to distributing oxycodone in a 2013 federal case out of Lexington.
This week, he was also ordered to serve a year for violating the conditions of his release in that case, but that sentence will run concurrently with his sentence in the new case, bringing the total time to be served to three years.
