LOUISA, Ky. — A registered sex offender who slipped off authorities’ radar has been arrested in Lawrence County.

Joey Dickerson, 41, also known as Joey Rife, was arrested by Lawrence County deputies on Saturday. He listed his current address as Louisa, but that is nearly 100 miles away from the Fleming County address he last gave authorities.

Dickerson was indicted for failing to comply with sex offender registration in June of 2021. He has been considered a fugitive since failing to show up for his arraignment more than a year ago.

He was placed on the sex offender registry after pleading guilty to third-degree rape in 2010. The victim in that case was 13 years old.
