Six jailed on drug charges in Martin County

martin_2Martin County, Ky.–The Martin County Sheriff’s office made six arrests Monday night in an effort to crack down on drug activity. Deputies first visited a residence on Jack Cassidy Branch. There, the homeowner gave consent to search the premises. Deputies found marijuana, pills, meth precursors and various items of drug paraphernalia. Arrested at that location was 56-year-old Kathleen more … 37-year-old Sandra Moore … And 46-year-old Ferman Mcguin.

Deputies then went to Dempsey Housing, where during the course of conducting knock-and-talks, they arrested 34-year-old Tommy Johnson Jr. and 30-year-old Christopher Stamperd, after allegedly finding them in possession of pills.

And deputies stumbled upon their final arrest, when they found 34-year-old Jeffrey Moore stopped on a bridge on old route 3. Moore allegedly admitted to smoking meth. He was arrested for public intoxication and possession of drug paraphernalia.
