Six new COVID-19 cases confirmed in Mingo County

MINGO COUNTY, WV. (MTN) — Health officials confirmed six new COVID-19 cases in Mingo County on Wednesday, August 26, 2020.

According to a release from the Mingo County Health Department, the patients confirmed positive include:

  • 70-year-old male, Case #234
  • 60-year-old female, Case #235
  • 72-year-old male, Case #236
  • 40-year-old female, Case #237
  • 45-year-old female, Case #238
  • 25-year-old male, Case #239

Health officials say that the department is notifying all those who were identified as being a close contact and instructing them to quarantine for 14 days.

As of 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2020, Mingo County has tested 3,813 people with a total of which 239 tested positive for coronavirus. There are 3,574 negative cases, 171 people have recovered 63 cases are active, and five COVID-19 related deaths.
